The Longlingshan Scenic Spot in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone or WHDZ – located in Wuhan, capital city of Central China's Hubei province – is reportedly well on its way to becoming a national 4A-level scenic spot.

That follows its recent assessment to be a national 4A-level scenic spot.

Longlingshan's major scenic spots include 10 miles of stunning landscape, a boundless expanse of lotus ponds and hectares of tea plantations. Recreational services are available in the park, including sightseeing buses, a bicycle rental service and forest exploration activities.

Cutting-edge facilities – including autonomous driving vehicles – were launched in Longlingshan last year.

A total of 19 self-driving taxis, sightseeing cars and shuttle buses were added to the scenic spot.

The themed scenic spot is located in the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test and Demonstration Zone.

The roads around the area have been installed with full 5G coverage and intelligent upgrades and related support platforms are also on offer.

This project is the first autonomous driving-themed scenic spot in China. It is said to be one of the most important achievements yet in the construction of an applications system based on the commercial operations of the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (Wuhan) Test and Demonstration Zone.
