Neusoft Corporation signed an agreement with the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone government on Sept 14, according to which it will establish a science and technology industrial park and a southern R&D center in the zone.

Founded in 1991, Neusoft is China's first listed software firm, and it is involved in smart cities, medical care, intelligent connected vehicles, and other software products and services. It is China's leading IT solutions and service provider.

Neusoft currently employs nearly 20,000 people globally, and has established a research, sales, and service network in more than 60 cities throughout China, with its subsidiaries scattered in the United States, Japan, and Europe.

Liu Jiren, chairman of the corporation, praised Wuhan as a promising place with intense talent resources. It is strategically significant to build the southern R&D center in Wuhan. Neusoft will take full advantage of Wuhan's talents and favorable transport, and expand business scale in the south of the Yangtze River centered on Wuhan.

The southern R&D center, involving a total investment of 4.1 billion yuan ($615 billion), will mainly be responsible for developing software and systematic solutions related to automobiles, electronics, medical care, cyber security, education, intelligent cities, and government affairs.

It has been calculated that over the past eight months, WHDZ has registered 87.72 billion yuan in industrial investment.
