Agreements for two key projects were signed for the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) at the 2021 China 5G+Industrial Internet Conference on Nov 20 in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.
One of the project agreements was signed between the administrative committee and CECloud Intelligent Technology Co. Based in the Wuhan Intelligent Connected Big Data Industrial Park, it will consist of a cloud service platform for the government, enterprises, and industries of WHDZ.
The other project is a battery management cooperation project to be carried out by China Three Gorges Co, Dongfeng Motor Co, China FAW Group Co, and Wuhan Economic Development Investment Co. The platform will be responsible for the renting, utilization and recycling of batteries, big data management, and technical services. More than 10 billion yuan ($1.56 billion) is expected to be invested in the projects over the next five years.
The digital economy has taken off in the zone, with leading firms such as Huawei, CEC, and JDCloud to set up operations in WHDZ.
