Hannan Yangtze River Bridge scheduled to be built in Oct

News from Wuhan municipal transportation bureau on Jan 23 suggested that the Hannan Yangtze River Bridge project is to be launched in October this year. Now the basic location and route of the bridge have been clarified, with the construction feasibility analysis and the review on its possible influence on the environment and on river courses being underway.

According to the introduction of the bureau of housing and urban-rural development of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), the bridge will be another important channel across the Yangtze River, in addition to Baishazhou Yangtze River Bridge, Junshan Yangtze River Bridge, and Zhuankou Yangtze River Bridge, which are already in operation.

The new bridge is 2.89 kilometers long and is designed to have six lanes in two directions, with the a planned travel speed of 120 km per hour.
