On June 28, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) signed agreements for a total of 11 projects involving 50 billion yuan ($7.46 billion) in funds at the opening ceremony of the 2022 China Auto Supply Chain Conference and the first China New Energy Vehicle (NEV) and Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ICV) Ecosystem Meeting.

Changjiang River Industrial Investment Group Co signed an overall strategic cooperation contract with the zone, agreeing to launch collaboration programs with WEDZ in auto making, electronic information, smart manufacturing, digital economy, and more of the zone's dominant industries. Meanwhile, the company will initiate an auto industrial chain fund worth 10 billion yuan.

Breton Technology Co is a developer of electric trucks used in mines and ports, and also focuses on autonomous driving and intelligent charging solutions. Breton will establish a Chinese NEV heavy truck headquarters, which will be responsible for the R&D, production, marketing and operation of its businesses.

Forvia Group Co – a world-leading auto spare parts supplier – has established several subsidiaries in the zone, and will soon set up a Central China research center for its autonomous driving software business.
