The technological center of Dongfeng Motor Co, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), recently conducted its first intellectual property (IP) transaction with Aiptek Technology (Wujiang) Co at the Hubei Technology Exchange, allowing Aiptek Tech to use its independent sci-tech product called Chehuiyan – an intelligent view extension system with a price of 1 million yuan ($147,900).

As Dongfeng's first creative sci-tech project capable of mass production, it marks the start of the regular operation of the company's intellectual property right (IPR) protection station.

With superior functionality to traditional rear-view mirrors, Chehuiyan meets all the requirements of the GB Standard 15084 and helps drivers better deal with the limited field of vision, blurry views on rainy days or at night, blinding lights and wind noises. The intelligent view extension system is said to have many potential uses.

Dongfeng's IPR protection station is the first such station in Hubei in the automotive field and will continue to focus on cultivating valuable patents and IPs.
