Huali Ismartways Technology Co – located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) – recently established the Hubei Smart Transportation and Intelligent City Innovative Consortium together with Dongfeng Motor Co, Hubei Communications Investment Group Co and other units.
Designed to focus on the R&D of core technologies in its field, the consortium will accelerate the commercialization of related technologies and promote the integration of intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), smart transportation and intelligent cities.
Founded in 2017 in WEDZ, Huali Ismartways Tech is a high-tech firm committed to the research and application of Intelligent Vehicle Infrastructure Cooperative Systems (IVICS) technologies.
After five years of rapid development, the company now boasts more than 100 employees from the original 10 when it was first established. The company sells its products mainly in the domestic and North American markets, and has taken orders from nearly 50 cities around the world.
In Canada, vehicles using IVICS technologies developed by the company can be seen driving on streets. And drivers will be informed of braking, lane-changing, and turning actions in advance.
Over the past four years, the firm's research expenditures have accounted for at least 20 percent of its total sales revenue. In addition, about 50 intellectual property rights of the firm have been approved.
