The 2022 China 5G + Industrial Internet Conference was held in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province from Nov 19 to 21.
Leading industrial internet enterprises gathered to showcase their latest technologies and innovations, including many based in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).
At the signing ceremony of the conference, the zone signed a project agreement with Shenzhen Hangsheng Electronics Co – a leading Chinese company specializing in developing, manufacturing and selling automotive electronic products. The two sides pledged to jointly build an automotive electronics research center in the zone.
Hangsheng's main products are automotive entertainment systems, navigation systems, central body control units, and intelligent traffic & theft-guarding systems, and one in every four cars on domestic roads uses Hangsheng's automotive products. The company is currently stepping into the global procurement system of the world's top 10 car manufacturers.
"WEDZ enjoys a solid industrial foundation and boasts a strong sci-tech innovation atmosphere and supportive policies, which is what convinced us to build our projects there," said an official from Hangsheng.
