Auto manufacturer Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co, located in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone, recently adopted a closed-loop production model to ensure that 230 vehicles are churned out daily.

Company executive Fu Jie said workers inside the factory have their body temperatures tested and take nucleic acid tests every day and have meals and rest off-peak. All the workforce environment, rest and dining sites are disinfected every day. In addition, a leaders' group has been formed, which holds a closed-loop production meeting every afternoon to identify and solve problems the workers encounter during this special period of time.

Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co has applied a code-scanning box – a device that integrates functions for facial recognition, temperature tests and mid and high-risk area identification.

There are nearly 2,300 workers involved in the closed-loop production at Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle Co. By Oct 26, the firm had sold 151,226 cars this year, breaking a record set in 2016. It is now aiming at reaching sales of 200,000 units annually.
