Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Wuhan, the capital of Central China's Hubei province, will step up its supply of high-quality medical resources to enable local residents to have easier access to healthcare services, according to a health work conference the development zone organized on May 8.
The zone, also known as China's Auto Valley, has been working to gather more high-quality medical resources, which is driving the development of the community and neighborhood health service centers and village clinics. It is also working to continuously improve the level of health services available inside the zone.
"Healthcare is closely related to the happiness and well-being of the people in the region," said an official from the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone.
This year it is implementing the strategy known as "Auto Valley's Action on Health" at a higher level. The zone is also continuously improving its public health emergency management system, strengthening medical service capabilities at the grassroots level, working harder to provide health services to the elderly and children, and striving to enhance the sense of fulfillment and happiness felt by local people, the official said.
