The first China Graduate Education Congress kicked off on July 4 in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province.

The event was directed by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Hubei government. It was jointly hosted by the Association of Chinese Graduate Education and the Wuhan government.

Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) actively participated in the congress. At a live stream room for talent recruitment, the zone created the "policy interpretation + outstanding workers' insights + corporations' demonstrations + job explanation" model. It selected 19 local enterprises in next-generation automobiles, new energy, new materials, biomedicine, and high-end equipment manufacturing. Nearly 400 jobs wanted were introduced to netizens.

Doctor He Xingchen, from a renowned research institute, shared his working insights with online viewers. He rose from a team leader to a chief research manager over three years of hard work. "WEDZ is set to reward all your efforts. The complete talent policies and services make me feel how much the zone gives weight to outstanding personnel", He said.

The live stream lasted for three hours, attracting 304,000 views in total.

This year, the zone has organized 10 on-campus job fairs at top domestic universities, including Tsinghua University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Chongqing University. It has attracted 9,089 college graduates to work in the zone over the first half of this year.
