On Aug 14 and 15, Liu Ziqing, secretary of the working committee of the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), led a team to visit Shiyan city to promote continuous deepening of cooperation and coordinated development between the zone and the city, and promote the construction of the "Wuhan-Xiangyang-Shiyan-Suizhou" national automobile industrial cluster.
From Shiyan to Wuhan, Dongfeng Motor Co has established an automobile research and manufacturing corridor.
Liu thanked Shiyan for its ongoing support in developing the zone and praised its economic and social progress. He said that Shiyan has accelerated the transformation of cities, industries, and the economy, and many good practices are worth learning for the zone.
During his visit to Shiyan, Liu Ziqing and his delegation visited Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co, Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group Co, and Hubei Off-Road Special Vehicle Co to understand the production, operation, research and development capabilities and core competitiveness of Dongfeng’s manufacturing bases in Shiyan.
