The Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) released its global solicitation on the construction of four major public service facilities in Junshan New City, which has received a total of 4 billion yuan ($557.2 million) in investment, on Oct 21.
Having learned from the construction of key infrastructure in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, WEDZ has decided to build the Auto Valley Citizen's Home, Auto Valley Cultural Center, Auto Valley Convention and Exhibition Center, and Wuhan Automobile Museum in Junshan New City – its core development area, to further strengthen urban functions and make it a more hospitable and vibrant place for people to work and live in.
The Auto Valley Citizen's Home will have a total construction area of 16.6 hectares and be located west of Zuoan Avenue and the Yangtze River, north of Fenglin Fourth Road, east of Jingkai Avenue and the 16th Metro Line, and south of Fenglin Third Road. A total of 1.8 billion yuan in funds will be used to build the facility.
The Auto Valley Cultural Center and Wuhan Automobile Museum have received 800 billion yuan in investment, respectively, and the museum will be located in the New Energy and Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industrial Park, which is currently being built.
Over the past two years, Junshan New City has built 181 kilometers of road and is expected to build another 64 km this year.
