WEDZ reports handsome sales results in Jan-Sept

From January to September, the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) registered a 14.3-percent increase in total retail sales of consumer goods, 5.8 percentage points higher than Wuhan's overall average, according to information released by the zone's business promotion bureau on Oct 19.

Since June this year, the zone's total retail sales of consumer goods have been leading the city.

Focusing on automobile consumption, the government has made efforts in terms of both supply and demand, rolling out campaigns to promote auto sales in Wuhan, Xi'an, Tibet and other regions, and arranging for local automakers to participate in all kinds of automobile expositions.

VOYAH delivered 5,010 new cars in September, a surge of 99 percent year-on-year. On Oct 12, the 2024 version of VOYAH Dreamer entered the market, and so far 10,507 vehicles have been ordered.

The Dongfeng M-Hero 917 has now begun delivery, and Lotus' pure electric and smart HYPER SUV Eletre has been popular in both domestic and overseas markets.

Over the first nine months of this year, the retail sales of automotive sectors above a designated size rose by 114.8 percent, while retail sales of new energy vehicles above a designated size grew by a whopping 183.2 percent.
