New industrial park breaks ground in Wuhan

The Auto Valley Sci-tech Industrial Park recently began construction at the Intelligent Connected and Electric Vehicle Industrial Park of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

It involves a total investment of 1.39 billion yuan ($193.77 million), with a construction area spanning 330,000 square meters.

The first phase of the industrial park is expected to be completed next year, and the second phase is to be finished in 2026.

The Auto Valley Sci-tech Industrial Park will focus on core areas of the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industrial chain, importing research and production projects in motor control, navigation sensing, smart cockpit, and chassis.

It will also welcome high-tech industries such as medicine, logistics, and electronics, to create new growth engines for Hannan district.

The Intelligent Connected and Electric Vehicle Industrial Park has now gathered 840 enterprises, including 170 high-tech companies, 39 specialized and sophisticated little giants, and 48 gazelle firms.

It is also home to six sci-tech innovation centers above the provincial level, and 91 corporate R&D centers.
