On April 24, ZF Group Co, a leading global manufacturer of automotive passive safety components, simultaneously unveiled its new production base in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) and its research and development center in Wuhan.

This base, serving as ZF's largest airbag production facility in the Asia-Pacific region, is poised to lead innovation in automotive passive safety technology, providing high-quality safety airbags and other products to the global market.

ZF, a Fortune Global 500 company, ranks among the top three automotive component suppliers globally, with products spanning automotive chassis systems, chassis components, safety technology, electronic devices, and sensor technology.

In 2011, ZF Group invested in the zone and established a Wuhan branch. In 2021, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of ZF Group's Asia-Pacific division, expanding its business scope to encompass the research, production, and sale of passenger car chassis systems, braking systems, and occupant safety systems.
