On May 28, the 14th vehicle manufacturing plant in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) – the Breton Wuhan Base – officially commenced production at the Intelligent Connected and Electric Vehicle Industrial Park, with the first batch of 30 electric loaders manufactured in the zone to roll off the production line soon.

The Breton Wuhan Base, invested in and constructed by Breton Tech Co, not only fills a void in Wuhan's new energy construction machinery sector, but will also accelerate the transition towards green and low-carbon manufacturing in the zone.

Breton Tech Co is a national-level specialized and sophisticated little giant enterprise. It is currently the only domestic manufacturer dedicated solely to the new energy sector in construction machinery, independently developing core technologies such as new energy construction machinery powertrains, battery packs, and temperature management systems.

Chen Fangming, chairman of Breton, said that one electric loader can reduce carbon emissions by more than 100 metric tons per year. Once operating at full capacity, the Breton Wuhan Base will be able to produce 10,000 electric loaders annually, reducing carbon emissions by 1 million tons per year. One electric loader can save users 100 yuan ($14.1) in fuel costs per hour.

The first batch of electric loaders will be immediately delivered to customers in Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Sichuan, and other regions upon rolling off the production line.

WEDZ is currently home to 10 vehicle manufacturing enterprises, including Breton, and has attracted over 1,200 well-known supporting auto part enterprises.
