Fanuc, the world's largest manufacturer of professional CNC systems and industrial robots, has seen more than 1 million of its robots installed around the world. In 2019, Fanuc established a subsidiary in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ), marking its fourth regional base in China.

The subsidiary focuses on industrial robots, intelligent machines, and smart manufacturing solutions. Last year, the company achieved a revenue of nearly 130 million yuan ($18.33 million).

"In the automotive and auto parts sector, Fanuc robots hold a market share of over 75 percent," said Wei Peng, deputy general manager of Wuhan Fanuc Robotics Co, in a recent interview.

As an industrial intelligence transformation consulting and diagnostic platform in Wuhan, Wuhan Fanuc has provided professional consulting and diagnostic services to over 200 companies, successfully creating more than 30 benchmark projects for intelligent transformation.

Wei believes that digital technology can achieve automation and intelligence in production processes, reduce manual intervention, improve production efficiency, and help enterprises reduce energy consumption and waste.
