According to authorities, six vehicle enterprises within the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) exported 36,000 vehicles in the first seven months of this year, marking a remarkable 114.1 percent year-on-year growth.

Authorities implemented several measures, including launching the Yangtze Automobile Chain platform and four supply chain platforms, which contributed to this strong performance.

Launched in May this year, the platform has streamlined bidirectional transactions, enabling real-time updates of demand and supply information, leading to smoother and more efficient operations.

Hubei Radiatech Auto Cooling System Co, a high-tech enterprise specializing in automotive cooling systems and components, recently partnered with the European headquarters of global automotive giant Stellantis through the platform.

This collaboration resulted in a deal exceeding 1 billion yuan ($142.60 million) in the cooling plate business. It aims to provide innovative cooling solutions for the battery packs of seven overseas vehicle models.

WEDZ has also established four supply chain platforms, offering services such as centralized procurement of raw materials, vehicle import and export, distribution of vehicles and components, and automotive finance and logistics support for the regional automotive industry.

The zone has also launched an initiative focusing on integrating cross-border e-commerce with the automotive industry. Over 100 enterprises within the zone have connected with prominent e-commerce platforms like Alibaba, Amazon, TEMU, and Google to accelerate their international expansion.
