Dongfeng Motor Corporation in the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) once again secured the top position in the Automotive Patent Innovation Index, achieving a score of 1,277 points, according to the latest 2024 report.
This marks the third consecutive year that Dongfeng Motor has been recognized as the leading automotive company in China for patent innovation.
The 2024 Automotive Patent Innovation Index, released by China Automotive Technology & Research Center's subsidiary, CATARC Information Technology, evaluates companies based on the quantity and quality of their patents, providing a comprehensive assessment of their innovation capabilities.
As Dongfeng Motor transforms into a leading technology-driven enterprise, it has mastered many critical core technologies. As of November, Dongfeng Motor holds over 24,000 valid patents, including 9,690 invention patents. More than 3,300 of these are related to intelligent connectivity and new energy vehicles.
In the field of hydrogen energy, Dongfeng Motor has also reached a leading domestic and internationally advanced level, establishing numerous high-value patent clusters. It has accumulated over 700 invention patents in this area.
