Ten foreign-invested enterprises from the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) were honored at the 2025 Wuhan Foreign-Invested Enterprises Association Meeting.

Five companies, including ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Lotus Technology, were recognized among the 2024 "Top 10 FDI Enterprises" in Wuhan. Dongfeng Honda and Tensar China were among five WEDZ companies in the "Top 10 Social Responsibility Enterprises" category.

A Lotus Technology representative emphasized Wuhan's potential as a fertile development ground rich with opportunities. He noted that Lotus plans to use its Wuhan Global Headquarters and Intelligent Manufacturing Center project to spearhead original technological innovations and product development.

In 2024, global Fortune 500 companies ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Aptiv increased their investments in WEDZ. Research and development centers for foreign-invested enterprises like Cummins and Faurecia also relocated to the zone. Nearly half of the world's top 30 automotive parts companies established a presence or expanded their investments in WEDZ.

Throughout the year, 34 new foreign-invested enterprises were established, and over 20 foreign investment projects were secured.

A local official noted that authorities would maintain an open stance, provide premium government services to optimize the investment environment, and offer more development opportunities and space for foreign enterprises.
