Dit Holding, a leading player in the automotive parts industry, signed an agreement on Jan 4 to establish a new production and R&D base in Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WEDZ).

Dit Holding specializes in stamping and welding automotive body and chassis components, as well as in developing and manufacturing automotive stamping molds. The company is a core supplier to several prominent domestic and international vehicle manufacturers, including Geely Group, FAW Group, and BYD.

With 12 production bases and four technical centers across China, Dit Holding boasts strong R&D capabilities and a comprehensive supply chain system.

The 2 billion yuan ($286.34 million) base will include the construction of production plants, R&D buildings, and testing centers, featuring advanced production lines for metal hot forming, internal high pressure, aluminum extrusion, and roll forming.

These facilities will manufacture automotive components such as body panels, chassis structures, and battery enclosures for new energy vehicles, providing essential support to Geely Auto.

The base is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 1.2 billion yuan, addressing key gaps in the local industry's lightweight body and chassis modules.

WEDZ has placed equal emphasis on automotive parts and complete vehicles, driving the automotive industry's transformation toward integrated whole-part collaboration. The ratio of automotive parts to complete vehicles improved from 0.68:1 last year to 0.8:1, strengthening local supply chains and achieving cost reductions and efficiency gains.
