Inner Mongolia Kunming Cigarette Limited Liability Co
Inner Mongolia Kunming Cigarette Limited Liability Co (内蒙古昆明卷烟有限公司) was founded on June 30, 2004. Since the company's predecessor, Hohhot Cigarette Factory, started operations in 1966, IMKCC has developed into one of the key enterprises in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Through restructuring the cigarette companies in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Yunnan province, IMKCC is directly managed by the China Tobacco Industry Development Center and supervised by the board of shareholders.
The company, which covers an area of 114,400 square meters, is situated in the Hohhot Jinqiao Economic and Technological Park. IMKCC moved to the location in 2007 through the implementation of the relocation and technical reform project.
By the end of 2016, the company had hosted 1,426 employees who annually produced 500,000 boxes of cigarettes on one assembly line capable of producing 5,000 kilograms of cut tobacco per hour and 15 cigarette rolling machines.
In 2016, IMKCC produced 390,000 boxes of cigarettes and sold 416,900 boxes, achieving sales revenues of 6.53 billion yuan ($964.50 million), a year-on-year increase of 4.07 percent.
In recent years, IMKCC has actively carried out research and development on cigarette brands to cater to different types of consumer.
Its main brands include "Dongchongxiachao", "Congrong" and "Daqingshan", which have won large numbers of loyal consumers thanks to their high quality products. "Congrong" is especially popular and has won the title of "most satisfactory tobacco brand among Hohhot residents" on multiple occasions since 2006.
