Kaihu Festival begins in Hohhot

The Kaihu Festival began on April 13 at Qianyaozi Reservoir in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The festival originally featured the fishing-themed shehuo (a traditional folk performance), lion dances, and other folk celebrations, sharing the local fishing culture with visitors.
Organized by the Hohhot culture, tourism, broadcast, and television bureau, the festival is aimed at integrating tourism with traditional customs and culture to improve the area's reputation across the world.
A seminar on the high-quality development of Hohhot's tourism industry was also held on the same day.
