Wusutu apricot blossom festival to begin on April 19
The 9th Wusutu apricot blossom festival is scheduled to run from April 19 to 23 in Huimin district, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a press conference held on April 16.
Seventeen events, including art performances, folk costume exhibitions, calligraphy shows, and sporting events, are scheduled to take place.
“Wusutu” means “places with rivers” in the Mongolian language. Situated 13 kilometers northwest of Hohhot's urban area, Wusutu has a century-long history of apricot-planting. Thousands of people visit every year in mid-April, when the apricots are in full bloom.
