National mini basketball league opens in North China

The national mini basketball league (Inner Mongolia station) started in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 27.
The league, designed for teenagers under 12, was organized by the Chinese Basketball Association, and Hohhot education and sports authorities.
A total of 318 teenager players from 34 teams in Inner Mongolia are competing in the league this year.
According to the local government, the league season will last for a month in the region and will be divided into four groups according to age and sex.
Some 24 basketball players from champion teams will enter the training camp to prepare for the finals of the league.
The league was launched in March 2018 across the country and has become a platform for young players to exchange skills.
