The Mongolian dance drama Little Heroic Sisters of the Grassland was staged at an art center in Beijing from May 11-12.
Ai Lihua, vice-chairwoman of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, attended the show.
Produced by the Publicity Department of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Communist Party Committee, the regional culture and tourism department, education department, and Inner Mongolia Arts University, the show made the 2019 funding list for the China National Arts Fund.
It was also listed as one of the 25 most outstanding works of art by the national culture and tourism authority.
The dance drama tells the true story of two Mongolian girls who risked their lives to protect the property of their local community.
It showcases the courage of the Prairie Sisters through montages and a combination of realism and romanticism.
It is expected to be held during the Twelfth China Art Festival, which is scheduled to begin on May 20 in Shanghai.
