The Association for Talent Development (ATD) honored dozens of companies and organizations from around the world with the 2019 Excellence in Practice Award on May 20. China's dairy company Yili Group received the award for its achievements in developing talents and improving the quality of its products.
Yili was the only food company in China to win the honor.
Another eight Chinese companies, including China Telecom, Midea, and China Post, also made the list.
As the world's largest organization dedicated to talent development, ATD honors excellence and best practices through several talent programs.
Tony Bingham, president and CEO of ATD, sent a congratulation letter to Yili and spoke highly of the company's strategies and progress in developing highly-qualified people.
Pan Gang, chairman of Yili Group, replied to the letter, stating that Yili has been promoting its talent programs to accelerate development.
Jennifer Homer, vice-president of ATD, said at the award ceremony that Yili's innovative practices for nurturing talents have served as examples for other companies.
Yili's talent program has produced more than 1,000 skilled people to engage in quality control of global products.
During the ceremony, Yili and ATD agreed to further cooperation. The two sides are committed to cultivating more talents across the world.
