2019-11-19

The 12th Annual Meeting of China Human Resource Management and the 9th China Human Resource Management Academy Award were held at Renmin University of China on Nov 15.

Yili Industrial Group from Inner Mongolia autonomous region was honored the “Best Practice Award” in human resources management.

Pan Gang, president of Yili Group, delivered a speech during the ceremony. He said its employees were not only a human resource but also the very foundation of the steady development of the company.

Pan added that Yili had managed to build a first-class human resources management system through years of effort, which now served as a platform for nurturing international talent.

The company had initiated a project to cultivate high-quality staff for local dairy industry six years ago. Pan said nearly 1,800 experts and technicians were recruited for almost every part of Yili’s industrial chain, via the project.

They worked successfully together to develop a series of world-beating quality technologies, which improved the product range and have created sales of nearly 120 million yuan ($17.12 million).

The China Human Resource Management Academy Award is the only authoritative award in China to scientifically assess the effectiveness of human resources management in industry from an academic perspective.

The project was also awarded the Excellence in Practice Awards in May this year by the Association for Talent Development, world's largest association dedicated to those who develop talented people in organizations. Yili was the only Chinese food enterprise to win the award.

Pan pledged to keep reinforcing communications and cooperation among all areas, to help foster employee development in China so as to achieve the company’s goal of building a “global health ecosystem”.
