In order to help the Inner Mongolia medical team members in the front line, Yili Group actively contacted the leader of the team to learn their needs and sent milk and milk powder to provide them with nutritional support.
As soon as the epidemic broke out, Yili quickly launched a prevention and control plan to tackle the coronavirus and went on alert status to resist the outbreak.
Yili Group invested 100 million yuan ($14.3 million) to support the national fight against the epidemic. Some 60 million yuan of that was donated to the China Red Cross Foundation, to support epidemic prevention and control work, buy medical equipment and for the expansion of the medical campaign in Inner Mongolia and Hohhot.
Up to now, the anti-epidemic materials bought by Yili have been sent and delivered to Inner Mongolia Red Cross Society, including face masks, disinfectants, alcohol, medical gloves and rubber boots.
In addition, Yili has allocated a total of about 1.5 million boxes of products -- to go to hospitals, disease control centers, clinics, isolated observation points, as well as public security and traffic police departments.
