Inner Mongolia–Beijing high-speed train service increases
Starting Oct 11, more bullet trains will operate on the first high-speed railway linking Beijing and North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to Inner Mongolia Daily.
The number of trains to run on the high-speed railway – which went into service on Dec 30, 2019 – will be increased to six on the Hohhot East to Beijing Qinghe route on Fridays, weekends and during peak travel periods.
Express passenger trains running between Wuhai West and Taiyuan will also launch, while the passenger train K7905/6 running between Hohhot and Wuhai West will change from a weekend peak line route to a daily schedule.
Also of note: 29 passenger trains from Hohhot to Xining, Baotou to Qingdao, and Hohhot to Kunming will have their operating times and stops adjusted. Passengers can check China Railway's Railway Customer Service Center (https://www.12306.cn/index/) and mobile app, or the station announcements, for specific information.
