Daqing Mountain, part of Yinshan Mountains, extends from the upper reaches of the Dahei River valley in Hohhot in the east to Hondlon River in Baotou in the west.
It is the most intact part of the mountain forest, shrub and grassland mosaic landscape in the Yinshan Mountains.
Great efforts have been taken in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, to restore its natural environment in recent years. [Photo/people.com.cn]
The north slope is directly affected by Mongolia's dry air currents, the climate is dry and the temperature is low, and the south slope is relatively warm and humid due to the obstruction of the mountains.
To carry out environmental restoration, all mines on Daqing Mountain in Hohhot have now stopped operations.
