The Hohhot Mongolian Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital was officially renamed the First Mongolian Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Inner Mongolia Medical University (IMMU) on Oct 19, according to Hohhot Daily.

Founded in 1962, the Hohhot Mongolian Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital has long adhered to the philosophy of delivering treatments combining Mongolian, traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

The hospital has now developed into a Grade-A tertiary hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, and rehabilitation.

After its name and structural adjustment, the First Mongolian Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to IMMU will serve as a Mongolian medicine and traditional Chinese medicine clinical teaching base and as a postgraduate training base for IMMU.

The changes are expected to provide new development opportunities for the hospital to further improve its medical standards and enhance its teaching and scientific research capabilities.
