Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has been making strides in improving the city's elderly care system and developing intelligent models of elderly care services, according to local media reports.

As a pilot area for "electronic nanny", the city's Jinyuan community is using its resource advantages to create a new channel for smart elderly care in the community.

As early as the end of September, staff members of the Office of Hohhot Aging Working Committee were divided into eight groups, community staff members conducted home inspections for 147 elderly people in the community over the age of 70, and finally determined to issue "electronic nanny" equipment for these elderly people.

The "electronic nanny" has a distress signal button and a help signal button. If the elderly feel unwell, they can get medical assistance in the shortest possible time.

In addition, the "electronic nanny" provides a number of life services for the elderly, such as health consultation, water and meal deliveries, ticket booking, medical appointments, legal rights protection, and psychological consultations.

The community service information center will integrate third-party units and service information through the system, and dispatch telephone transfers according to the elderly person's needs.
