Meng Genhua from Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co (Yili Group) has won the honor of National Model Worker, as announced at the National Commendation Conference for Model Workers and Advanced Workers, held on Nov 24 in Beijing.

A total of 1,689 people from across the country were selected as National Model Workers, and 804 were selected as National Advanced Workers.

In recent years, many Yili employees have been awarded the honorable title of National Model Workers. It means they are committed to providing consumers with high-quality products and services, and contributing to the promotion of a healthy China.

Meng Genhua led a team to continuously improve the company's food safety risk prevention and control systems and promote the continuous upgrading of China's dairy product inspection methods.

Every milk laboratory technician in Yili Group does nearly 300 national standard tests every day, and more than 1,000 test standards must be memorized.

Yili's "three lines of quality standards" are well-known in the industry: the corporate standard line has been increased by 50 percent on the basis of the national standard line, and the internal control line has been increased by 20 percent on the basis of the corporate standard line.
