Hohhot confirms business goals for 2021

Hohhot in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has confirmed its development goals for its business work in 2021, focusing on consumption increases, market cultivation, economic opening-up, investment attraction, and service improvements, according to the city's commerce bureau.
The city's total retail sales of consumer goods for the whole year is expected to increase by about 7 percent. The import and export of goods will increase by about 8 percent. The actual use of foreign capital will be over $400 million.
New breakthroughs will be made in foreign investment and cooperation, and e-commerce transactions will exceed 130 billion yuan ($19.97 billion).
To focus on consumption upgrading and building a regional consumption center, Hohhot will actively cultivate mid-to-high-end consumption, complete 100 brand chain convenience stores, and introduce projects such as an SKP flagship store and Yonghui Supermarket.
For market cultivation and developing a modern business circulation system, the city plans to accelerate the implementation of projects such as Beijing Hualian, a regional logistics distribution center for chain supermarkets, and the Inner Mongolia Zhenhua Supermarket cold chain logistics center.
More than five local e-commerce companies are expected to be established in Hohhot this year.
Hohhot is also set to further promote the transformation, upgrading and development of foreign trade, with related polices and measures issued including the Three-year Action Plan for High-quality Trade Development of Hohhot (2021-2023).
In addition, Hohhot will implement precise measures to boost investment promotion, and expand the scale of investment promotion in the city, as well as optimizing the business environment.
It will strengthen policy publicity, and conduct regular visits and surveys to help companies solve problems.
