30 industrial projects signed at academician forum in Hohhot

A total of 30 major projects – including 10 dairy sector supply chain ventures and 10 joint ventures in six major industrial clusters – were formally signed on July 17 at an academician forum held in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
That's according to a report in the Hohhot Daily, which said the event drew the participation of 12 academicians and 55 experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences and people in various other fields from across the country.
The forum reportedly showcased the innovative initiatives taking place in the region, got invaluable input from academicians and experts and helped promote the high-quality development of Hohhot.

Among the 10 dairy industry projects was a demonstration project for R&D on pasture planting and recycling. This will involve research into forage grass varieties, forage grass planting technology systems and brand building and establishing animal husbandry waste resource utilization systems.
The project will be developed by China Agricultural University, the Inner Mongolia Institute of Modern Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and the Tumd Left Banner government, with a total investment of 260 million yuan ($40.12 million).
The six major industrial cluster projects include a Hohhot workstation project for the Institute of Botany at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, construction of a Hohhot sleep center and a Zhonghuan smart warehousing and logistics center.
