Sci-tech talent innovation center established in N China's Hohhot
The Science and Technology Leading Talent Innovation Center was officially established in the Hohhot Science and Technology Innovation Center in Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, marking another step forward for the city in its quest to recruit talent and boost innovation.
Preparations for the talent innovation center started in 2020.
Since the beginning of this year, Hohhot has issued a number of relevant policies to boost talent recruitment.
For talent and team projects with independent intellectual property rights or core technologies, or which make major breakthroughs in industrial bottlenecks, a comprehensive fund of 10 million yuan ($1.55 million) to 100 million yuan will be given after review. For the introduction of a considerable amount of leading talent, a maximum of 2 million yuan will be rewarded.
For talent and teams that are introduced flexibly, a living allowance of up to 100,000 yuan and project support funds of 1 million yuan will be given after review.
Well-known universities and scientific research institutes at home and abroad that have established industrial technology innovation research institutes in Hohhot will be given up to 20 million yuan in scientific research project funding each year during the cooperation period. Also, free research and development sites and corporate office space will be offered.
