Hohhot's Han Mei kicks of ambitious Beijing 2022 program

Speed skater Han Mei, from Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, finished the Speed Skating Women's 3,000m competition at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics with a time of 4:07.74, ranking her 15th on Feb 5.
The Hohhot youngster, born in 1998, has won national and international honors several times.
She won fifth place in the women's team pursuit at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Since November 2021, she has participated in four World Cup speed skating competitions in the United States, Poland and other places, breaking national records for the 1,500m and 3000m three times.
She will take part in three individual speed skating competitions at Beijing 2022: the 1,500m, 3,000m and 5,000m events, as well as the team pursuit.
