Hohhot tightens COVID controls, areas under closed management

Hohhot city, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reported a total of 168 confirmed local cases of COVID-19 as of Feb 21, as it moved to strengthen virus prevention and control measures, according to local media reports.
Currently, the patients are receiving treatment in designated hospitals and 32 areas in the city are under closed management.
A third round of nucleic acid testing in Hohhot began at 9:00 on Feb 21. This included Tumd Left Banner and Togtoh, Horinger, Qingshuihe and Wuchuan counties.
Also included were Xincheng, Huimin, Yuquan and Saihan districts, as well as the Hohhot Economic and Technological Development Zone.
