Hohhot launches Qingcheng Code
To further facilitate COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, Hohhot city – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has launched its Qingcheng Code system, starting on March 21.
Since Feb 15, Hohhot has reported a total of 430 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 14 local asymptomatic infections.
To date, a total of 426 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
Currently, there are two medium-risk areas in the city. One of them is the Haoqinying village, Genghis Khan Street sub-district and Xincheng district area. The other is the Youyi Lane community, Tongdao Street sub-district and Huimin district area.
In addition, plans are for Hohhot to promote antigen self-testing for COVID-19, as a supplementary means for improving early detection.
The National Healthcare Security Administration has included antigen tests in medical insurance coverage, as a temporary measure against the epidemic.
