Hohhot rewards 198 innovative projects
Hohhot, the capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, will cash 27.08 million yuan ($4.06 million) in reward funds for 198 innovative projects in the city.
The move is in accordance with the "Implementation Opinions of the Hohhot Municipal People's Government on Further Promoting Scientific and Technological Innovation to Build a Regional Innovation Center", which aims to reduce the lingering impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on enterprises and help bail them out.
The opinions clarify that for newly-recognized key laboratories, technological innovation centers, enterprise R&D centers, and academician and expert workstations, Hohhot will provide financial incentive reward funds of up to 5 million yuan.
The innovation projects obtaining the funds involve 11 types of innovation and entrepreneurship.
They include newly-approved mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases, enterprise key laboratories at the autonomous region level, enterprise research and development centers, engineering technology research centers, academician and expert workstations, and high-tech enterprises obtaining awards and subsidies from the autonomous region.
