City government signs key accord with Hohhot Customs
The Hohhot municipal government and Hohhot Customs signed a framework agreement on Aug 3 to accelerate the development of the city's export-oriented economy, according to local media reports.
Hohhot – capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – is taking advantage of its particular advantages in its economy, culture and location to accelerate the introduction of a new pattern of all-round and open development.
The signing of the agreement is expected to pave the way for the city to further open up to the outside world.
The municipal government will work with Hohhot Customs to further promote the construction of the capital city's cross-border e-commerce pilot zone, a bonded zone and a new airport.
Efforts will be made to build the core node of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, as well as promote the further opening-up in terms of commerce and trade with Russia and Mongolia.
