The China Patent Award is the highest government department award in the field of patents in the country. It was jointly established by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
The award aims to recognize patentees and inventors and designers who actively and effectively carry out the creation, utilization, protection and management of intellectual property or IP rights – and have made outstanding contributions in promoting innovation and promoting economic and social development.
Hohhot introduced its Hohhot Intellectual Property Funding and Incentive Measures policy in 2021.
Since 2019, the municipal government has awarded more than 31.4 million yuan ($4.66 million) in intellectual property grants, an initiative which is said to have comprehensively improved the independent innovation capabilities of enterprises.
Moving forwards, plans are for the IP office of the Hohhot Municipal Administration for Market Supervision to vigorously promote the cultivation of intellectual property rights and the commercialization of achievements.
