Hohhot releases latest data on virus prevention, controls

From midnight on Oct 18 to midnight on Oct 19, nine new confirmed COVID-19 cases were added in Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – including two cases of asymptomatic infections converted to confirmed cases and 34 asymptomatic infections, according to local media reports.
A total of 12 confirmed cases were pronounced cured and were discharged and 104 asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation.
As of midnight on Oct 19, there were 250 confirmed cases in Hohhot, a decrease of three from the previous day and 1,895 were asymptomatic infections.
In order to further effectively block the risk of epidemic transmissions, since Oct 20 the risk level of some areas has been adjusted. After the adjustment, there are 324 high-risk areas and 234 medium-risk areas in Hohhot city.
