Hohhot resumes orderly reopening of shops to ensure supplies
Hohhot will resume the opening of small shops that ensure supplies in an orderly manner, in order for the capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to better coordinate COVID-19 prevention and controls and guarantee daily necessities, local media reported.
According to city officials, in addition to the continued opening of pharmacies, grain and oil wholesale stores on the streets, vegetable franchise stores, wholesale and delivery stores of large supermarkets and vegetable stores in the community can gradually resume business if they have met the legal requirements.
Employees need to carry out nucleic acid and antigen testing once a day and thoroughly disinfect and sterilize business venues and equipment and facilities on a daily basis.
During the operations of the shops, delivery personnel need to abide by the requirements of contactless delivery.
In addition, each community is required to set up a special area for express deliveries and takeaways. Incoming materials need to be disinfected and sterilized by community staff members and after standing for two hours they can be collected by residents in a non-contact way during peak hours, or transferred by community staff members.
From midnight on Oct 20 to midnight on Oct 21, Hohhot added eight new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 44 asymptomatic infections, while four confirmed cases were pronounced cured and discharged from hospitals and 39 asymptomatic infections were released from medical observation.
As of midnight on Oct 21, there were 258 local confirmed cases and 1,861 asymptomatic infections in Hohhot. Currently, Hohhot has 289 high-risk areas and 241 medium-risk areas.
