Hohhot to develop into a modern regional central city

Hohhot, capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, plans to develop into a modern regional central city, according to local media reports.
Hohhot will speed up the construction of a modern industrial system and vigorously cultivate industrial clusters in the fields of green agricultural and livestock product processing, clean energy, modern chemicals, new materials and modern equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, and electronic information technology.
The city will accelerate the construction of projects such as Yili Future Intelligence and Health Valley, Mengniu Dairy Industry Park, and Horinger Data Center Cluster in order to provide strong support for the development of the real economy.
Hohhot will rely on educational science and technical talent to support its efforts to become a modern regional central city.
By 2025, 110 schools will be built in the four districts of the city and key areas such as Jinchuan, increasing the overall enrollment capacity by 97,000 students at primary and secondary schools and 13,000 students at kindergartens.
To further boost innovation and entrepreneurship, Hohhot will build a demonstration zone for the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements in Horinger New Area, Jinqiao Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Zone, and a national dairy industry innovation center.
Talent policy support has been further strengthened and the incentive guarantee mechanism for graduates to find employment or start their own businesses has been established and improved.
Hohhot plans to encourage and attract more than 100,000 university graduates to live and work in the city within the next three years.
