Hohhot records improvement in SME business environment
A marked improvement in the business environment for small and medium-sized enterprises or SMEs has been recorded in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to the 2022 SME Development Environment Assessment Report.
Released by the China Small and Medium Enterprise Development Promotion Center, the report analyzed four municipalities, five cities with independent planning status and 27 provincial capitals.
Hohhot city ranked 26th in the report, up two places from the previous year, with the overall development environment for SMEs in the city improving significantly, while the gap with developed regions gradually narrowing.
Over the past three years, the city has set up a special group to promote the development of SMEs, improve the construction of the public service system and focus on alleviating financing difficulties.
