Apricot blossom festival kicks off in Huimin district, Hohhot
The 12th Huimin District Apricot Blossom Festival opens on April 19 in Huimin district of Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The six-day event includes artistic performances, light shows, and painting and calligraphy activities. In recent years – by relying on its rich natural, historical and cultural resources – the district has focused on building a new "culture + tourism" business model in order to stimulate the local economy.
