Hohhot marks progress in patent authorization

Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has marked progress in patent authorization, with related indicators ranking first in the autonomous region, according to Hohhot Daily.
Up to now, there are 3,898 effective invention patents in the city, accounting for 40.38 percent of the total effective invention patents in the autonomous region, a year-on-year increase of 25.86 percent.
Hohhot is currently home to three pilot projects for national-level and autonomous region-level intellectual property rights, along with 18 enterprises recognized as national-level intellectual property demonstration entities. Additionally, the city proudly houses three industrial intellectual property operation centers at the autonomous region level.
Hohhot introduced its Hohhot Intellectual Property Funding and Incentive Measures policy in 2021.
To improve the city's intellectual property service level, the city has invested more than 16 million yuan ($2.3 million) in building the Hohhot intellectual property public service platform and the northern intellectual property big data center.
At the same time, the city has implemented the patent quality improvement project and patent navigation plan in depth, and three patents, including the "foot-and-mouth disease vaccine preparation method," won the 23rd National China Patent Award Excellence Award.
Hohhot has built a platform for transforming intellectual property rights for colleges and universities and organized colleges and universities in the city, including Inner Mongolia University and the Inner Mongolia University of Technology, to participate in the symposiums on helping small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate and develop.
